Police responded to N Wood Avenue and West Gibbons Street after a GMC SUV making a lefthand turn collided with a Chevy SUV, officers said.. Robert Pozanski, the driver of the GMC was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The driver and four passengers in the Chevy were all transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
This is the second fatal crash in Linden this week. On Monday, Theodore Green, a 63-year-old Irvington resident, was killed after he was struck by an SUV while crossing the street.
